F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
As night falls and darkness descends at the Yas Marina Circuit, the excitement builds. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is the only day-to-night race in the F1 calendar, and this, coupled with the fact it’s the final race of the season, makes it just a bit special. Although Formula 1 may have only been in the UAE since 2009, the people have taken it to heart in a big way. Abu Dhabi embraces the luxury, modernity and spectacle of Formula 1, and whilst the marina setting and super-yachts may spark similarities with historic Monaco, the sand dunes and space-age architecture remind you this is a different race entirely.
Yas Marina begs to be explored: no other F1 circuit is in walking distance to two amusement parks and a water park, with more being built. There are first-class hotels, stunning beaches, all within easy reach. Why not take a trip to the Yas Mall, one of the biggest in the country or ascend the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa? Everything is extreme here so prepare to be amazed.
